Crazy/ˈkrāzē/ Y'all crazy.

Whatever that really is.

I usually "construct" my pieces first, but f*ck it, I've been in a mood lately (I know...duh.) and...well...it's a rant...

Don't get caught up

Believing everything you hear Actually following the weekly trends on the news and getting fired up about it, lighting the way with it, only to let the flame burn out without even realizing that you can't see anymore.

Not seeing how big sports organizations are literally in place to keep us cooped up (distracted), occupied (distracted) and spending money (distracted). We   You sit your asses in thousand dollar seats and call it the Super Bowl while they getting super paid.

Y'all think the zoo is an outrageous place to be? What do you think we look like sitting in rows upon rows of stadium seating, screaming, chanting and losing control of yourself...oh and eating like "animals", well, or animals. People with a talent and love for what they do have been taken away, stripped from life as they know it, to puppet around for us to gawk at while something else happens behind the scenes. Oh, but the paycheck though.

The same boy next door from the hood who we were told to be scared of, to label a thug, to keep down because the economy didn't benefit him nor his education is now the same guy that is OK to look up to, because he's rich. He's a "role model now, but only when he f*cks up" HA - "rich". We take away from what was right in our face. Someone to look up to, to relate to all for what appears to be more appealing.

So now we're sitting here. Going through the motions, ignoring our callings, our talents , our happiness. The reason why we are all here.

Y'all crazy Not questioning why - who - when - WHY - a 40 hour work week became the norm We'd get the same amount of shit done (or not done) with half of that time and frankly, more efficiently, given the lack of time allowed for procrastination I mean for real, do you follow me? Who's bright idea was it to say "so, look. let's slave away 40 hours of our precious time doing sh*t we probably don't even have any real, true, deep desire to do and take two days to actually live - one of which, we spend loathing about the fact that it's all about to start again the next day. I don't care about scientific studies, trial and error and sh*t surrounding this either. Who said science is science??

Y'all crazy Thinking the hustle shouldn't be the day job I'm not about to let another person tell me that we can never truly be "fulfilled" and relate that sh*t back to why I should stay my uninterested ass where I'm at. (yea, I'm looking at you funny)

If the Earth washes away tomorrow, you know that none of this will be saved as?

Y'all crazy

Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" used to sound so outlandish to me I never heard it, just listened to it OH, but now I hear it Like A Mutha... "I remember when I remember, I remember when I lost my mind There was something so pleasant about that place Even your emotions have an echo in so much space And when you're out there, without care Yeah I was out of touch But it wasn't because I didn't know enough I just knew too much Does that make me crazy? Does that make me crazy? Does that make me crazy? Possibly"

What is "crazy" to you ain't crazy at all.

Ok. Rant over. For now.

xoxo -Ams
